According to information received from Rander police station, 77-year-old Bhai Lalbhai Dhanjibhai Prajapati, works as a security guard at Malviya Hospital, Anand Mahal Road, Surat. He was on duty on the day of Dhuleti. On that day, two men in a car stopped in the parking lot of the hospital. They started urinating there, seeing which the security guard Bhai Lalbhai stopped them and forbade them from urinating there. The people in the car got agitated when the elderly guard repeatedly refused. One of them started beating Bhai Lalbhai mercilessly.

According to the CCTV footage of the incident, the attacker first slammed the security guard hard on the ground. Then he hit him with the wooden stick he had. After that, he immediately injured him. He grabbed his legs and dragged him on the road and kicked and punched him in the face continuously. When the guard was in a state where he could not even get up, two women reached there. Other people also ran for help and lifted the injured guard and rushed him to the hospital. The elderly guard had to get stitches as his head was seriously injured.
After learning about this entire incident, a complaint has been registered at Rander police station. Based on the CCTV footage and witnesses present at the scene, the police have started an investigation to identify the accused. Currently, the attacker’s car number is available with the police and with its help, an investigation has been launched to quickly identify the accused.
